Its ur own money so its up to u how to spend it
Not many people are willing to spend extra 500 juz bcoz they have no time
Even our high flyer people here also diy themselves
They are busy too
They buy the parts first and assemble when they have time
Diff people have diff mindset

So far I had bought 3 computer system from googoo. First I think their price is definately more expensive than diy or sls shop.
The reason for buying from them is convenience...deliver to your home..any technical issue also onsite. Their support is definately very good.
If you are looking for cheapest deal..then googoo is not for you.
If time and convenience is important then googoo is good.

not bragging... just commenting that googoo is not so bad or that overpriced like $4K like ddwmk2002's setup

i think you are right about going to fortran... my top card was doing 90+C while playing games... then after looking at the forums it was there that these kinds of non-reference cards have heat issues when in SLI.

alright, i must admit that i did ask googoo to get that specific card... but they should have done their homework and advised me that it is not a good idea...

the gigabyte gtx580 superoverclocked is a non-reference card... it has a fancy looking heatsink and fan setup that actually vents hot air into the case... when you stick two or more of them close together, the top card just sucks in all the hot air..

anyway - i've fixed my own problem by buying a truck load of noctua fans.. and doing some readjustments as to where the cards are placed.

my top card is idling in the 35-37c range and is at 80+c when in load... i'm modding a vga hood and will see if it further improves

i'll definitely give fortran a try when i upgrade this rig to water cooling...

haha... you must be joking..

ref GTX580 even hotter then 3rd party cooling..

please go do your research again

Roundup: a review of the super GeForce GTX 580s from Asus, EVGA, Gainward, Gigabyte, MSI and Zotac (page 1: Introduction) - BeHardware

i'm using same card as you. all GTX580 card are hot when you load even Palit GTX580 3GB full load can hit 99degree

MSI GTX580 or other brand when come to SLI is even hotter

can't post links but google "GTX 580 3-way SLI Overheat - Cannot Solve" it is on the overclock.net forum

try reading this thread, it shows that all aftermarket coolers have issues when in 3-way sli.
the suggestion is to use reference (blower type) cards for 3-way sli air cooling.

it is not advisable to have GPUs at 90C

mine are running in the high 70C to about 80C even when running 3D surround, but to achieve this i've had to improve cooling and space out the cards between the 1st and 4th pci-e lanes

5 x 120mm x noctua S12b fans (exhaust, 1 top mounted, 4 side mounted near the graphics card)
4 x 120mm x noctua p12 fans (for top mounted h100 push/pull setup)
1 x 120mm x noctua p12 fan (blowing air into the graphics cards, installed in the VGA hood after I mod the hood to fit)
1 x 140mm x noctua p14 fan (exhaust)
1 x 120mm x cooler master fan (5.25 drive mounted intake)
HAF932 case has existing 1 x 230mm x cooler master fan (lower front intake)

yes, that is a lot of fans - and no it is very quiet - because they are noctua fans / and i've lowered the rpms on the cooler master intake fans

i don't think anybody has succesfully run 3-way sli with this card on air cooling.

Shouldnt you guys try to use water cooling for your system? Saw some one did that. Quite neat n temp low after project done. Also running 2x 580 if not wrong.

it's not an airflow problem... beside the GPUs there is 4 x 120mm noctua s12b fans as exhaust / in front of the GPUs there is a 1 x 120mm noctua p12 fan as intake

would appreciate if you can get the temp readings from your friend for the 3-way sli... as everything i've read so far says that i can't be done...

Googoo has helped me solve my GTX580 SOC problem to my satisfaction.

i'm getting my gigabyte GTX580 3gb 3-way sli in a few days!

Try to find a shop in sls that will help you this way...

So is Googoo worth it - hell yeah!!!

i'm doing another build in a 3 years or so and will still use Googoo if they can do watercooling for me...

You are paying close to double for simple customer service.
With that price you paid you could have gotten as many replacements on your own to your heart's content.
Also did u have to sell off your gigabyte cards yourself?
Your post: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/g...80-super-overclock-gv-n580so-15i-3531136.html

But a man's cash is his to spend. Glad you're happy! And happiness is is most important :D
no not double, i did the sums and it is about $500+ more expensive.

apart from a very very few good ones, sls doesn't provide 'customer service'

Is the shop still in business? Is their assembly and testing still of good quality? I visited their website today and will be placing an order for a $900 desktop PC for general browsing and YouTube. I'm OK with the slight markup in component pricing compared to assembling myself.

Just worried that this thread is abandoned and they may have gone bad.

yep. they still in business. dun worry buy stuff @ GoGo before
