The GoPro Mission 1 Pro ILS is going to be really niche..
- 1 inch sensor with m43 mount = unnecessary lens bulk, unless their roadmap calls for a m43 sized sensor or gopro and 3rd parties makes smaller cropped m43 lenses like how apsc/ff using same mounts.
- Non electronic mount = only manual focusing few MFT lenses. Perhaps more options down the road.
- Crop will make MFT less wide but with industry picking up there might be more options in future.
- Waterproofing will be issue for current mft mf lenses when it comes to action cam shooting, but again may have more options in future.
TIme will tell if they manage to carve out a blue ocean or they are just digging their own grave.
