basically the sweetness have to come from msg or seasoning. i would have just throw in minced meat to cook instead of using dumpling.

Yeah dumpling for convenience sake. Soup i just add salt and sugar abit. Taste comes from ingredients and shallots. Not strong taste but pleasant.
