[GPGT] Japan trip 2023

Back in SG yesterday evening. Sharing some pictures from the places i visited, not much food photos since not the kind of person to snap my meals.

Left SG on 21st Oct to Haneda, depart from Kansai Airport on 3rd Nov.
SQ636 redeye out, arrive at 5ish or 6am..Immigration was quite clear unlike previous arrival back in 2019. Cleared in like 5mins upon reaching immigration. Wanted to activate Hokuriku Arch Pass, top up Suica at the JR Service Center at Haneda but the q was si bei long..Went straight to take the Monorail out to Tokyo Station where we would be staying for the first night.

Visited the lounge for some food and beer. Food i find okay okay. Son likes the nuggets and fries(Which kid doesnt), i had 2 beers, laksa(so-so), duck was nice and some small munch here and there.

I opt for food to serve as supper, son had abit of boon tong kee chicken rice, i had roasted beef, wife had lobster thermidor.

Knock out soon after the tray was cleared and all the way until 30mins before landing..

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi, only staying for 1 night here.

Side trip we went for Kamikochi, Tateyama Alpine Route, Amanoshidate & Ine Funaya(Book Klook day trip), USJ

Hotels Stayed: Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi(1N), Hotel Metropolitan Nagano(2N), Doubletree by Hilton Toyama(3N), Courtyard by Marriott Honmachi(6N)

Visited BIC Camera to hoot my lens.

Hooted Sigma 35mm F2 DG DN. 65.1k JPY after discount. Works out to about S$600.

Went over to JR East SC @ Tokyo Station to activate my Hokuriku Arch Pass + reserve all the shinkansen tickets, top up Suica card then lepak at Starbucks before checking in.
Took a break, shower and went out to random walk.

Had early dinner somewhere.

And then just loiter around the station for random shots.

Was quite tired so i think we went back to hotel at around 6-7pm, shower and pack the bags then i knock out at like 8pm JST until the next morning..

5 years old riao(Leica discontinued this model)..Last trip also using this..

Saw a few here and there but got more Hongkies, Taiwanese, Koreans, Indonesians etc etc..

Not much Chinese..

After 2-3 devaluation, now return business need 104k miles riao.. Use to be 72k or so just before covid..
