Umm doesn’t work like that. Not everything one consumes is locally produced. Why u think ppl in developing countries want to live in developed ones? And it’s not just abt sending money back home .
Esp in cities - eg KL. Is very expensive . Don’t say it’s choice - of course kids want to go nice malls etc. Freaking ex relative to their wages

The chart shows that every single item on it is cheaper in bolehland than here.

Just looking at the big mac alone, 5.2x sgd vs our 8.65.

3 course dinner so big difference.... 26.7sgd vs our 77sgd.

For smaller ticket items(eg pang sai zua), the gap is smaller but the difference can add up to a lot over time since they are frequently bought items.

Nah $5 to $7 is food court territory. Sinkie's grad pay will rise for sure. 3.8 to 4.2k. For tech-related even higher.
