Instead of buying and own a car.
I believe government agencies now rent the cars for their daily operation.

Can be a rental vehicle officially rented and used by MINDEF.

Eh... This is old photo and old news la. The Volvo is already a few years old from now.

facebook post was saying "this is common for lease rental on big events because the MINDEF/SAF does not hold its own fleet of VIP cars. THat said rental company shld have applied for a temp removal of the label with LTA."

To be honest, was shocked when I first saw this photo

But got many things to argue that this is an old news that had been debunked

this kind usually is benefits of brigade COs ler. Likely only full colonel and above can get to loan MIDs 1.

but MIDs vehicles is strictly for work purposes nia.

Speaking from exp. This is true if staff car is need to to ferry overseas officers.

Saf will rent outside veh so normal to see phv since these company will rent for other usage also

Is there any risk of security breaches by Mindef to rent commercial vehicles that will carry high ranking occifers?
