tau gey only need water? no other nutrient ah
liddat how to grow big and strong?
The nutrients all in the seed, but i think the water matters also. If got mineral rich water might be better, like those in ipoh which are amazing.

Just bought a sprouting jar. Intend to grow broccoli sprouts with it but the seeds not arrived yet. As i have green beans at hand, grow some tau gey first. This is 40g of organic green beans that grew to exactly 200g of tau gey.

Its not as fat or as beautiful as the ones bought from our supermarket. Infact it is thin ugly and fiberous. The roots looks like spike hammer :s13:

Added black vinegar, chilli, garlic, soy sauce. Make 凉拌 out of it.
I came in because I read the thread title as "All the Gay lovers come on".

Leaving this thread disappointed

Ts grew small amount of bean sprouts in jar with lots of spaces, that is why the bean sprouts short and thin.

Grow in very crowded with no space and weight pressing then long and thick. Last time wet market stall bean sprouts was grew in large blue plastic tube containers with the cap screwed to create the crowded environment.

Thanks for the tips. I grew 40g beans in one litre jar. I'll try increasing it to 50g.

If I use plastic container and poke holes in the cover, can it grow the same? :s11:

Of course can. Try to poke more holes for ventilation. Normally people use lay a thin cloth over. All can work.

I see what you are thinking about. Haha.

The steps is to first soak the beans in water for 8 hours, then after that rinse it twice a day. Pour water in the jar and then drain all the water away. This is wash the sprouts to prevent bacteria build up.
