Power Color HD7870 2GB Pcs+ Myst or Sapphire HD7870 DDR5 2GB XT?
(can anyone tell me what does "Pcs+ Myst" and "XT" stands for?)

Planning to get i7 3770, or will i5 3570 be sufficient for a gaming rig and will it be good enough for the GPU?

For gaming rig, if you don't intend to overclock i5-3450 or 3470 is decent enough. You don't need an i7 for gaming as it doesn't have much significant improvement over i5. Instead you should channel the money to a better graphic card.

If I'm not wrong, both Myst and Sapphire XT is based on Tahiti LE. Both are budget brands and I personally prefer Powercolor as the warranty period is longer.

Just a model name for 7870 LE under their own respective brands. If you have the budget, 7950 vapor-x is good as well. What is your budget?

ok
powercolor gpus 3 year warranty vs sapphire 2 year warranty

Myst and Xtreme are just terms or rather names
like car honda civic and honda civic type r (not so much exaggeration la :s13:)

everything depends on your budget, whether you can squeeze in a 7950 or 7870

my budget is 1.5k. Only parts left are MOBO, CPU and deciding which GPU to get. $766 spent on the rest so $734 left?

Need OS? I would prefer to spend $100 less on your case and spend it on a good gpu.
