GPU and CPU temp

Good morning, was just curious about your temps and your cooling setups.
Using
- Stock Cpu cooler
- 3 Corsair af120
- Palit Dual 1070

Temp
CPU - 65 Max
GPU - 82 Max(so far on RotTR)

I feel like its too high and actually makes my room hot on extended gaming sessions any reco on what can I do to reduce the temps? I also set my case fans to 80% speed to help with the temp while staying fairly quiet.

do you think that with better CPU cooler and better case fans your room will be cooler?

Try a simple experiment. Open up yr side panel. Take a fan. Turn on full speed n blow direct at the mobo.

See if the component temperature and the room temperature gets cooler. If yr room temp remains the same, then using better coolers won't make a difference

What monitor/reso are you playing at? Settings maxed out? Haven't played it but read that RotTR is a pretty gpu-intensive game

I'm not expert, but I seriously think your choices are either play less intensive games, lower settings & downgrade resolution (so your gpu works less hard), improve your room ventilation, or on air con

In case you didn't get wacko's comment, if you reduce the temps in your comp, where does the heat go? It just means more heat is exhausted into the room. Either way, the heat that is generated needs to go somewhere. This is with the assumption that the game you're playing will push your comp this hard.

Running at 1080p. Anyways I found out after checking the settings that 4x SSAA was on.. This is probably the one that is putting so much load on the GPU! Forgot to add that i +75 mhz the core clock speed which also is another reason why its hot

if the computer is affecting the user comfort in the room .... it's ventilation problem

Maybe u need to setup proper push pull? How did u put ur af120s? Im also running af120s and they serve me well.

Those temps are well within operating limit with negligible impact on performance.

You should be concerned only when your CPU and GPUs are throttling.

If your room ventilation is poor, the heat trapped inside your room are just going to be recycle in and out of the pc over and over again. Your room will feels like suana no matter what cpu cooler you going to use.

Placing the pc near window with a fan blowing outwards or just turn on aircon will helps to reduce room temp.

aircon takes 3x as much energy to remove heat

if your PC is drawing 200watt .... your aircon will need to draw additional 600watt per hour to bring back the same temperature with the PC off

Well judging from your fan setup, it should be quite standard. Are there other ventilation spots in the case? Could add 1 more to exhaust upwards, cause there might be negative pressure in the case unable to escape.

Another case would be the GPU itself, whether its a dual-fan or triple-fan design. If using dual-fan model, dont expect temp to be low even when gaming. My friend used a zotac amp and managed 75+ temps at max fan speed and max gaming options.

So set your expectations according to your pc. Cheers!
