Need your help please!

I'm wondering what kind of GPU model or brand that would be compatible to my motherboard. I'm not a techy person so i'm not sure what upgrade would be best for me. Here's my specs.

Motherboard : BIOSTAR TA790GX 128M
GPU : Nvidia 9600 GT

I'm also wondering to upgrade my pc casing so anyone knows what sizes are my motherboard? Standard-atx? Micro-atx? Mini-atx?

Below $150, better don't buy any gpu. If you still want to upgrade your card, i suggest you save more. Or get second hand card.

The impact is marginal for cards below your intended budget.

honestly you might want to looking into changing the whole rig to something more contemporary. I'm struggling to force my Sister's Opteron 4280 (6 core Phenom II) to play borderlands: The Pre-Sequel at even 60 FPS. I changed her Radeon 5870 to an Asus MARS 760 (dual GTX 760) and the games these days demand more CPU resources than a Phenom II can provide.

A second hand GTX 560Ti at around $60 should be good enough.
