Was watching video yesterday when the pc froze on me.

Tried to reboot but was windows unable to boot.

Went into safe mode and was able to.

When i uninstalled the gpu driver, i was able to boot to windows normally.

Upon installing new gpu driver, i am unable to boot to windows again.

So i uninstalled it in safe mode and was able to boot to windows again.

Would appreciate any form of help here.

I am running a Sapphire 7850, also I had cleaned the gold contact points but it also didn't work much.

Thank you!

Hey bro!

Was just wondering, do you face black screen issues too? Like monitor no signal + sound loop (pc hang). I myself have a Sapphire HD7850 as well. Ran Furmark test and CPU load test, GPU didn't crash. If you do a Google search, you can actually find people having this black screen issue with the 7850.

I think it's our GPU problem :(

I have a similar issue as well. At first I thought the cables are faulty, but the problems still persist although less often than before, maybe the problems lessen because i switched to hdmi instead of dp.

I'm using powercolor 7850.

Hmm. I think the best course of action now for you is to upgrade your gpu liao.. If you're like me, not much heavy gaming, more of watching shows/surfing web, I read a lot people recommend like GTX970 (jumping to Nvidia seems more safe haha), cost like $400+ on lazada after discount.

semi dead gpu i'd say. workin when no driver installed but not working when driver installed. had a similar case with gtx580, worked as normal VGA adaptor but as soon as driver installed (dev mgr detected as gtx580) i can only run 8-bit color mode in windows. :)

seems likely too.

most likely looking at r7 260/265.

almost similar performance but the price is 2/3 of what i paid for 3 years ago.

depreciation not in favour for us eh :(
