GPU Full Load 60s vs 70s

Read an article on techpowerup that there is no difference for GPU where one full loads at 60 and another full loads at 70degrees

they didn’t elaborate what that difference meant, so i’m assuming performance;since there definitely is a relation between heat and longevity of the cards

do you all agree? because i find the statement to be pretty pointless and misleading

i think 75 degree quite toasty for me liao, and the card in question is the MSI RTX2080 Gaming X Trio

They recorded only a 4% performance increase compared to FE, pushing it further might be too hot liao i feel

14C is quite a lot of difference. Running hotter will reduce the lifespan of the GPU as well as create more heat for the system to clear.

First of all, that article was referring to the Asus Strix RTX 2080, not the MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio.

The Asus Strix RTX 2080 has 2 bios, default and quiet mode. In quiet mode, the fans doesn't turn on under idle, they only spin when it is loading above 60 degrees so there is no difference in the fan noise level (31 dBA) as long as it is above 60 degrees.
