Goodday! Two days ago I noticed faint horizontal lines on my monitor.

Tried many things but dropping the refresh rate to 60hz fixed the problem. I find the sharpness is weird too. I dont know how to describe this but all the wording feels like pixelated. Not smooth like how i am used to?

What might be the problem? checking with u guys before i blow some budget on some new dp cables.

ps. monitor is like 2 weeks old

i'd say try new dp cables as that's the cheapest.

i try with hdmi should be ok also right?
Hdmi is fine and a better option over Dp. Would you mind indicate what monitor and gpu you have ?
And where does word pixelated can be seen ?

Side note: i used to have faint horizontal lines with my old monitor. It started to get serious when time passes.
It indicate monitor front panel issue, had to replace front screen panel.

I suggest you test with different cables and connectors at your optimal resolution.

You might want to first determine whether it is a cable, monitor or gpu problem.

Normally when I see lines......the saddest news that comes to my head will be monitor uplorry....

GPU if got problem usually is flashes of random pixelation at random portion of the screen.

Cable got problem might be flashing lines in intervals or no signal at all.

Software problem......very unlikely.

Hope I am wrong, wish you all the best..................

Prism plus x315 with asus 3060ti.

I changed to hdmi and still same issue.

The pixels just feels weird. like not sharp. I tried doing some work on excel and i got dizzy after awhile. Gaming and such no issue.

Ive have a feeling is the monitor got issue. but the issue seems like something i need to do with settings.

Talking about setting, There is something else you can try like:

-Turn on image sharping at nvidia control panel.
-Turn on smooth edge of screen fonts for win10. See below.

I noticed text fonts on my previous va panel monitor doesn't look as sharp as my current ips monitor. u can Google for va panel text blurry or something similar. Perhaps it's the nature of the panel itself

Refresh rate? Check if the current refresh rate is set at 165hz or not.
Than lower it as higher refresh rate can cause blurry image.

Typical problem with prism monitor

if you read the review (real ones), a lot people report the same problems.
