Help recommend GPU,Motherboard & PSU

Hello can any experts on pc parts recommend me these few parts?

My current GPU is Sapphire 1gb HD7770 Vapor-X O.C PCI-E
current mother board is Asrock H61M / U3S3 (LGA 1155) MAINBOARD
processer is intel i5-2400
PSU is Seasonic s12II 520W.

So, my PC has been randomly going into black screens with stripes when i'm playing games, i suspect it is the graphic card that is having issues.

And i recently upgraded my HDD into SDD, and formatted my old HDD to use as storage but sometimes my HDD doesn't get detected which i suspect is lose connection from my motherboard to my HDD. So that is another issue.

As for PSU, i'm not sure if there will be any issue but keep got this sound, heard its some ball-bearing loose, but not a a serious problem.

for Budget, GPU hoping for lesser than 300. Use for playing games and abit of photoshop.
Games i play are World of Warcraft and League of Legends.

edit: my pc parts are bought from pc themes. please recommend me where to buy too.

1) Got spare GPU? Can also try gaming with iGPU (at very low settings and resolutions) and see if problem is reproducible.

2) Download and run CrystalDiskInfo to check SMART status of HDD. Connect HDD to different SATA port, SATA 2 port also can, won't affect HDD performance.

Do get a large external drive to backup important stuff from your HDD in case things go south.

3) Got 'drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr' sound? Could it be your casing fan or your CPU/GPU cooler fan?

1) I don't have a spare GPU so i can't really tell but i'm kindaaa sure its the GPU.

2) So i downloaded crystal disk info, what do i do from here?

and i also backed up all my important stuffs already.

3)as for the sound, i did bring my pc down for diagnosis before, the technician said its the psu but not a big issue.

1) Get a Powercolor R7 260X 2GB OC for $179 at PC Themes. Good enough to play WoW and LoL at max settings in 1080p. Can also use the GPU to accelerate image processing in Photoshop through GPU acceleration settings.

2) Reseat both SATA and PSU connections to your HDD. Use a different SATA port if necessary and then monitor over a few days and see if the problem comes up again. Your HDD looks OK.

3) If you want, can RMA your PSU and say noisy fan, see can ask for 1 to 1 exchange or not. PSU still got warranty or not?

1) is Powercolor very good? i see alot of people recommending it.

2)Yes the thing is i keep try and reseat and on my PC yesterday then become got this 5 beeping sound, did a google search apparantly is some power discharge issue or what, so i'm kinda scared of fiddling with it now.
Oh and you see the white SATA port at the bottom, one of the white part dropped out, and i put it back in, its kinda looose now, thats why i think my HDD is having issues getting detected.

3)Yes PSU got warranty still, but then if i give them for RMA, then i got nothing to use :l

1) Powercolor is recommended because it is cheap. GPU differ from brands only in GPU cooler design, some differences in parts used in more premium brands and GPU clock speeds. Differences in performance are relatively small across brands, it is not like buying an expensive Asus/Gigabyte equivalent GPU will give you an insta 60 FPS boost anyway.

2) Plug your HDD into the SATA 2 (blue) port. 5 beeps is CPU error based on AMI BIOS post codes, but your CPU looks fine to me. Doesn't hurt to try, it's just one wire only.

3) 1 to 1 exchange is pretty fast, you trade in old PSU for new one of same model. Besides, there are quite a lot of S12II 520W PSUs avaliable in shops, the distro is likely to have buffer stocks for exchange.

1) Ah, so its same performance? won't like say nvidia/amd have better drivers etc? idk, just curious..

2) I did try plugging it into one of the blue ports at the bottom left, but then it didnt start, idk whats wrong, should i try again? later i screw something up again :l

3) Is it 1 to 1? that time PC-themes tell me they can send back to supplied/manufacturer to see whats wrong or what or should i ask PC themes to give me a 1 to 1 exchange?

1) As long as the chipset is the same (ie Powercolor R7 260X vs Asus R7 260X), performance is around the same (unless you buy reference card or the GPU has no factory OC). Still need to read up on GPU/gaming benchmarks to compare different GPU chipsets. (ie. R7 260X vs GTX 750Ti)

2) Got try the other blue SATA ports?

3) No, you go to Corbell Techonology (Seasonic distro) and RMA your PSU. 1 to 1 exchange not guaranteed, but worth a try.

1)So i was asking around also, one of my friends recommended
MSI H81M-E35 for motherboard
graphics card u get PAL-GTX750Ti OC 2G STORMX

2)Hmm i guess i will try the other blue SATA port later, hopefully i dont blow something up :l

3) I can just walk into Corbell and say my PSU faulty, need 1 for 1 exchange? I bought my stuff from PC-themes though, i still have the receipt that says 5 years warranty

1) The MSI H81M-E35 uses Socket 1150 while your i5-2400 uses Socket 1155, you can't just jam your i5-2400 into a H81 mobo, it will not work. You will need a H61/H71 mobo or a B75 mobo if you want a new mobo. Besides, it is not proven that your mobo is completely dead anyway, don't be in a hurry to buy a new mobo. Your mobo still got warranty or not?

2) The Palit GTX 750Ti StormX is more expensive ($225) for slightly more performance, not sure if it is of good value. Would rather that you get a more powerful Powercolor R7 265 for $229. But then again, the R7 260X is powerful enough to play WoW and LoL at beyond 60 FPS, pointless to spend more $$$ on a more powerful GPU when your monitor can only display a maximum of 60 FPS.

3) The warranty is handled by Corbell as the warranty is provided by them, not PC Themes. Bring your PSU and your reciept when doing the RMA. Do note that if they do not have any buffer stocks, they will send your PSU overseas for repairs anyway.

Tradepac for ultra cheap prices(if you know what you want and know what you are doing) or PC Themes for reliability.

Also, is your HDD issue solved? If still cannot use SATA 2 port to connect to your HDD, would suggest that you bring down your rig to PC Care & Solutions, #02-32, Sim Lim Square, and have Nigel take a look at your motherboard. Can also discuss repair/upgrade options with him as well.

check so i did change the SATA port, and holyshit you're a wizard. It worked so i guess i dont have to change my MOBO now :l

So now i just got to head down to SLS, get a graphic card and some compressed air

edit: so i went down to tradepac, bought an Sapphire R7 265 for $200, and it seems things are fine now.
But theres still this random MOBO or HDD connection issue, not sure what exactly is the problem but its working fine now, i think it screws up only when i fiddle with it like installing the gpu or cleaning stuffs etc.
