GPU problem?

Normal computing like surf net....system working fine....fan outlet air doesnt feel hot....but now when I play game(Say Counterstrike 5 minutes)....the system will shut down on its own and when I touch the fan outlet....it feels hot.....but I see the GPU fan spinning.....so I am not sure what is the problem.

The system can start up again after it cools down for normal net surfing.

Anyone can help?

Check your gpu temp when gaming and idling and during web surfing. Gpu could be overheating when gaming.

if GPU is really overheating....any way to solve?Or must buy new GPU liao?

Reapply gpu thermal paste might help. Thermal paste could be dried up. Make sure chassis has ample air flow etc.

Did you mess up your gpu fan curve settings? Could be the cause of the overheating. Setting a custom gpu fan curve could help too.

Also monitor your cpu temp for any overheating issue.

Might be the fan header for your gpu failing. I had a R9 390 that had this overheating problem. The fan header was gonna uplorry soon thus although my fan was spinning, it was spinning at very low RPMs despite my card hitting 100c.

If you same case as me, just remove the shroud + gpu fans, get some 120mm fans and jury rig it onto your gpu heatsink
