T all bro's here, i am building a rig and was initially planning to buy Msi GTX 970 howver i thought, the price is crazy and it may go down significantly in few months so i would buy the cheapest GPU i can for now and upgrde later.

Question is that cheapest GPU is 70+ SGD so my question is whether MSI GTX 90 would go down more then 100$ in coming months? if possble then it makes sense for me to wait.

My current monitor is only 1080 so i dont really need 970 for now but later when i upgrade to 4K in coming months.

The price of gtx970 is the best price/performance for higher tier in the market, however the price vary from $450-$580 due to diff brand and cooler design

Cheapest just get a Zotac gtx970 @ $448 or Msi gtx970 armor edition @ $499

Doubt the price will drop alot, maybe if amd comes up with something better but @ the lower price bracket

As for now only 290x is the slightly better card @ similar price bracket, but the 290 series is one hot as hell card compare to it and needs more power to run

I doubt the GTX970 will drop further.

The GTX960 will be coming out soon though if you want to wait a bit longer.

Just use integrated first and wait for price to drop until you ready to buy...

The only time price for 970 goes down sinificantly is when AMD comes out with a card that is better and cheaper than 970. Even so, SG market will take some time to be affected.

If nt for playing games atm, den get any cheap gpu, those last gen GT710-740 shld b quite cheap. Or for AMD r7 series or 7750 range?

Eh. You are building x99, then the price of nvidia 970 should be acceptable. No?

ddr4 is the main headache lol
