Hi, I am intended to change my GPU to play games like BF4 in high setting. I am seeking some GPU recommandations and my budget for the GPU is around $400. This is my current setup:

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5 2400 + Asrock H61M/U3S3
RAM: G.Skill DDR3-1333 CL9 4GB [Black PCB] X2
GPU: MSI GTX 560 TI 1GB Twin Frozr II
SSD: Adata 510 120GB
HDD: WD 1TB Blue
PSU: FSP Aurum 600W [80 Plus Gold]
CASE: Cooler Master HAF 912 Advanced
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Lastly, is there any other parts i need to change other than the GPU?
Any advice or recommandation is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Your rig still good. Only need to change the gpu.

If you dont mind stretching the budget by a bit more you can get 1 tier higher. Which is the r9 280x gigabyte at $425

If not then can get only the gtx760

asus 680 having clearance... i think that one is a better buy than 770 as 770 is basically rebadge and OC version of 770....

Gigabyte 280x is noisy amd not stable at oc default 1100mhz speed. Spend a bit more for other brands like asus and msi.

Just a tip bro, don't get AMD GPU. Now the 13.11 beta drivers very jialat, like instability everywhere. Even my system have artifacts, bsod and crashes from time to time in BF4. Clock speeds default, never had this issue with 13.9 driver.

Better to have stability than a little bit better performance. :vijayadmin:

Not my thread, but its something like this:http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1040371237

Nvidia also have their fair share of driver woes. So both sides also jialat.

My 7970 also glitches n artifacts sometimes.. but only in bf4 and crysis 3 have some flickering. Other games like dirt 2, hitman absolution, Etc no problems at all.

It's BF4 problem, nVidia users also report glitches and crashes.

i recently got the Sapphire R9 290 from Convergent e-store directly. very good service provided by them.
So far bf4 running in default clock speeds in ultra settings is good(50-60fps).Also i find the fan noise which a lot of reviewers are complaining acceptable. somemore it supports mantle technology where EA Dice is now working on upcoming for Bf4 for better gaming experience. If you can stretch your dollar a bit, think going for this is good.

I downloaded Crysis 3 today to bench the driver, no artifact (like siao siao) at all.

Only in BF4 will have these weird artifacts, texture popping when map loading.

Could be game issue since i was playing Batman Arkham Asylum and City about 1 week before BF4 launch and never had any issues, at all.
