Dear all, first up, happy CNY in advance!!
However, my day isn't turning out too well. Today, I just migrated my rig from my old CM HAF932 casing to a NZXT Noctis 450. Everything is running fine except that my 2nd GPU slot seems to be borked after the migration.
Prior to today, I've been running 980Ti sli (specs on right) for half a year now but after the casing migration earlier today, my 2nd GPU slot doesn't seem to be detecting either of my gfx cards. I've tested both cards (and power cables) on the supposedly defective 2nd slot as well as the 1st GPU slot. 1st GPU slot is working fine with either of the 2 cards, so it's not a problem with my GPUs. In my BIOS, the 2nd slot shows "Not Present", while my 1st slot shows my card (x16 lane) up fine. So I doubt it's an issue with drivers/OS, since BIOS won't detect my card on the 2nd slot.
Previously I've plugged my GPUs (from both slots) several times without any issue, so I'm thinking it's too coincidental that my 2nd GPU slot stopped working after I migrated my rig to the new casing today. Is there anything that I have missed in my migration which could have led to this?? Or am I really that suay to have my 2nd slot die just after I migrated to the new casing? SLI was still working fine just yesterday.
