hello all, need some guru help here.

Here is my gpu information:

asus gtx 680 directcu ii oc 2gb.

My gpu is around 4.5 years only. Having been using it mainly for nice AAA games at the early years. then dota2 for the last 2 years. Then recently for pubg to be exact is 3 days around 4-5 hours per day.

Then here comes the interesting part. I launch pubg yesterday , the actual gameplay start but when the aeroplane load( if you guys play pubg , after you start the game, everyone will be stranded at a island, i can move around shoot gun punch people in that island but after the aeroplane load it hangs )

When it hangs, the aeroplane just freeze and when i alt-tab it became black screen and then i need to reboot the whole desktop.

If i launch dota, it is also similar but i can alt tab and kill the process and gain back control of my desktop as if nothing happens.

In the event viewer, i see some error message related to graphic :

The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\Video3
Graphics Exception: Class 0x7780 Subchannel 0x0 Mismatch

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

I have tried reinstalling the latest driver but still the same problem. Should i downgrade my drivers or my gpu have already chibaboom already?

Very sad now as i wanted to overhaul my 4.5 years desktop next year but not now. Now buy like not here not there.

My gpu is around 4.5 years only. ...

only? the GPU is one of the hottest hardest working part of your computer, 4.5 years is more than "only".

you can try downclocking your GPU as an interim measure, if that resolves the issue. else you can always upgrade your GPU first, then the rest of your system at your planned date. GPU is easily transferable.

Try running some older games and see if the error recurs. Could be DX issue with newer titles.

4.5 years only? Lol you kidding right?

Any way. I suspect that it could be overheating issues. A dead fan or probably too dusty.
