Hey all, I was hoping to get some advice. I've been having this problem with my GPU where at times when i'm using the computer the screen just goes black for a few seconds. Sometimes I can use the computer without this problem occuring, and some times it's so bad I can hardly use the computer at all.

I've updated my drivers to 13.12 which I believe is that latest and the problem still persisted. Any advice?

Check your gpu temps. See is it overheating.

Download hwmonitor and see. Perform a load test using Furmark. Download and run it. See whats the temperatures like when it black out.

Which GPU card do you have?

Oh sorry. Forgot to mention GPU. It's a Sapphire HD7850 2GB OC. Temps have been normal when I game, around 61 for things like Planetside 2 or 55 for Dota 2. But even when i'm not gaming, the temp is around 43.

Done already. Screen got no problem. If it's not screen then I suppose it must be the GPU.
My second ATI graphics card was a Sapphire and it's capacitors leaked out after less than one year. :frus: Did you check the card if everything looks OK?
