Anyone knows if it will be able to fit into my current casing Ikonik EN2?

My current gpu is a Gigabyte R9 280x windforce, left about 1 inch free space.

I don't mind sawing part of the HDD drive bays to accommodate, but in any case, having it fit perfectly is better.

yes, it can. I have the mini 1070 too
but gaming temp is not the same
for example, to run games at 2ghz, you need higher fan speed to keep temp in check
higher fan speed equals to louder noise
if use amp extreme, same overclock, lower fan speed achieve 2ghz
so much much quiet gaming experience

You don't need to run the fans at 100%. I set to 70% max and even under full stress testing using Time Spy, temps hit a max of 77C. Compare to 100% fan and max of 73C, the difference is only 4C but the fans are almost inaudible.

Yes it's huge. At this point im pretty much convinced from eyeballing it that i may have to cut the HDD bays to accommodate. Either that or i get the amp edition with 2 fans (11.88")

Just get the Zotac Mini. Mine can run at 2 GHz easily.

Mini doesn't dissipate heat as well as the normal cards unfortunately, otherwise would've hoot that.

Why not consider changing the case as well? There are some options below $100 and gives bigger room for more options as well.

Hi. I checked my own Zotac GTX 1080 Ti Amp Extreme. It seems to have the same length and width as your card which is 325mm x 148mm.
My experience with my old card, the Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 Gaming which has a length and width of 296mm x 120mm I can tell you, this card was already long enough as it is.

Based on my old case, the Mastercase Pro 5 that has the HDD cages, the G1 card that has a length of 296mm was already a tight fit and scratches against the HDD cage. If you were to go for the AMP Extreme that has 325mm, confirm plus chop, you either have to take out the HDD cage or change to a new PC case.

But... there is a significant improvement to cooling between the G1 980 Ti card vs the 1080 Ti AMP Extreme. The huge heatsink and fans produces an overall less noise at full load along with less heat in the room after a long gaming session vs the G1 that makes a loud hum along with heating up the room by a lot.

Temperature wise, I used to get 50+ degrees on idle and around 79 - 82 degrees on load with the G1.

Now with the AMP Extreme, I get 42 - 43 degrees max on idle and around 71 - 73 degrees on load.

That's my experience with a card slightly similar to yours in terms of size but performance wise, you should get better temperatures with the 1070 vs my 1080 Ti and since the 1070 and 980 Ti's performance are almost equal, you have a baseline for you to compare whether to get the AMP Extreme edition or something slightly smaller.

To add on, the mini's size is 210mm x 122mm. So fitting wise, should not be an issue.

Unfortunately my case is rather old (and cheap) so no detachable HDD rack. Most likely opting to saw a small section off for the gfx to fit. Thanks for the info and headsup!

A good case goes a long way. That case was good for its era, but there are better options now for this era.
