Good evening,
I have a plan to get a PSU and GPU upgrade by CNY/Christmas next year. I have a 3GB Sapphire 7970 (Factory OC) and a Seasonic m12ii 620w. should i get another of it for xfire and a 1000w PSU? (Seasonic).

Playing mostly modern First-person shooters like the upcoming Battlefield 4.

Another question, if the demo at San Francisco was 2x7990 and a i7 quad core running 60fps at 3K resolution, will my current setup be able to max/high settings at a stable 60fps?

There is not much details about next gen graphics card yet, so best is to wait till you want to start upgrading.

+1 I think you answered my questions better than anyone in the thread right now. I have been saving for a long time and just 1/3 away from the expected prices.

no point xfire when you can get a next gen gpu (when it comes out) and probably be able to reuse your psu (save money) since you're talking about next year christmas...

IMHO, if you're about 3/4 away from your intended budget then start to keep a look out for prospective cards. technology is evergreen and who knows tomorrow they announce something new...
