Gpu uplorry?

For the past few month i have been facing this problem, sometime watching youtube it will display that and then hardlock and shut itself down. I have almost swap everything to (2nd hand stuff) other then CPU/PSU,have tried reformat and i even bought a new gtx 1660 to try and narrow down the problem and end up with no display...

so time for a complete new PC revamp???

You bought new GPU so...what's the result?

It a result of GPU dying and monitor DP port dying. New gpu with DP no signal only hdmi have...

I assume you have selected DP as input on the monitor hardware settings.

Have you tried all the display ports? Sometimes, it works on other DP ports but not a particular one.

X240 only have 1 dp and 2hdmi port�. I plug in both dp and hdmi, select dp input and it will just default to hdmi...

I meant a different DP on your GPU, not the monitor. Also, please unplug the HDMI cable when doing this.

My 1660Ti only have 1 DP. Now i have a weird problem i follow the suggestion of plugging out hdmi cable and left DP cable only, it have signal during post then when load to windows it lost signal and totally no signal and black screen all the way.

Spare monitor tomorrow i try.

Could be that the gpu try to output a weird or unsupported resolution on windows hence no display. And hence why only post screen showing only. Maybe your display port cable got problem also.

Wow what the odd of 2 dp cable spoilt hahaha, tomorrow I go buy new dp cable and power cycle my monitor and try again.

I have weirdo issue with DP connection at work. Bought new Dell U2419H monitor and connected to old Dell Optiplex 7010.

Boot up fine till windows loading, then screen blank out.

Google online point to DP 1.2/1.4 issue. Dell 7010 has only DP 1.2 while U2419H comes default with 1.4.

Change U2419H DP 1.4 to 1.2 and work fine.

I have changed my gpu and i have no problem gaming now only left the dp problem

If DP port spoil then warranty lor.
If warranty over then.....you can try replace the monitor mainboard yourself

Just an update,
So I went and bought another new gpu rx 5700 xt pulse and dp still only show up during post only.

What work is I bought the 3rd dp cable and playing around with the 3 dp port on the gpu and it working fine now for the past 2 day... So that solve it I guess

Now I just wonder how I make 2 of my new dp cable spoilt hahahah
