Grab vs MRT

This is my personal experiences. I get so used to taking grab whenever i go. Today i decided to take MRT from Jurong to Orchard.

From Jurong to Orchard by grab 35mins includes waiting time(sometime need wait 9mins).
If by MRT 45mins-50mins. I save $30 grab fare for extra 15mins on MRT.

Its really worth it. I can save around $500 a month.

I am the reverse. I take grab only with heavy load or when public transport has ended which is very rare. During peak hours, I am usually faster than grab for the places I am going to.

Means a easy 6k a year which you have been spending extra on grab vs taking public transportation.
But then it's still cheaper than having a car though.

Depends where you stay too. Some feeder bus need 30mins. So nearby mrt really save alot.
