I probably will kiss goodbye to this Grab mastercard this coming March as there is no more perks from topping up by my CC , also grab rewards will change in March as well.

Did they also remove transit Link as in to top up ezlink card? It would be nice if we can compile a list that merchants that no points will be awarded. TIA :)

because they just wanted to show mas that they have crazy amount of signups for their new card so that they can get a digital banking license. they submitted the application on dec 31, after that they dont need you guys anymore so they start taking back all the carrot.

everyone needs to mass cancel everything so that their q2 figures take a giant fall for them to wake up their idea.

If you can find Grab QR merchants at least it’s still 0.2 cent per point if you pay using Grab Points, and not limited to Capitaland.

The last straw was for giant online. Giant online (Watsons and NTUC too) works such that they pre-authorise when you order and they do actual charge after delivery. Works well for credit card. But Grabpay master being a prepaid card is charged on order. Then Giant inform me one day before delivery that most items out of stock. Their email (template) say not to worry only final amount for delivered items will be charged. But the fact is full payment has been made already. After calling giant and Grab and waiting few weeks in between the calls (because they say need processing time at least 14 days). Finally Grab put up chargeback yesterday and email say can takeup to 50 days to investigate disputes.

These online purchases works on pre-authorisation procedure. The process is simple for credit cards. But when it comes to prepaid cards like Grabpay mastercard it becomes a nightmare.

Do we need to claim back the small charges by SimplyGo and Giant? I overlooked them.

Planning to exchange points to grab vouchers. If I redeem now vs on 1st March, would the expiry still be the same for both?

spend slowly? there's no expiry right... it's a wallet.

every now and then will have bigger expenses like travel (air tickets), home appliances, clothes, shoes, or even groceries alone will slowly eat up the $2k.

but understand that $2k per month is quite a lot for some people.
