Hi anyone tried paying Education Institution fees in last 2 weeks and earned points? Looks like the latest T&C states its excluded.

Saw this 4X Grab Rewards Points Multipler Package in my apps, that you can buy for $9.90 that comes with two $2 Grab Ride Voucher and 4X Grab Rewards Points when using the Grab Card and Wallet in SG for up to S$1K spending. Besides excluding the usual MCC codes (e.g. top-up, hospitals, insurance, etc), they have included supermarkets as well.

Anyone has this and considering purchasing it to earn the 4X Grab Rewards Points?

After spending $1000 you only get 4000 points which is worth $8. 2×$2 grab ride voucher is worth not much as you can easily buy grab ride vouchers that give $2 savings per ride elsewhere.

All in all pay $9.90 only to scramble to earn back at most $9.90 worth, and giving up on the opportunity to earn rebate/points on other credit cards.

I was initially under the impression that 4x refers to bonus of multiply 4 of what I normally get per dollar as platinum member. 6 points base, 18 bonus points per dollar.

End up shock to see 4000 points for my 1k spend. The only explanation I can think for their 4x marketing is that it awards 4 bonus points per dollar. Stupid multiplier package.

Tbh I hardly find grab subscriptions for their rides and lately the grab rewards attractive Enuff. The savings are just too pathetic. Their grab car is not the cheapest all the time and likewise for spending, the cashback might be lower than if u use other credit cards. Think twice before u subscribe.

This time round comes with 35% points back. Meaning u used 2500 grab points to exchange for 5000 star$ but u get 875 grab points credited back to u. Technically, u r using 1,625 grab points for 5000 stars n that’s y they are gone so fast.
