For ez-link auto topup, AMEX and GPMC are not accepted right? Are there any cards (besides Citi SMRT) that can earn cashback?

And you mentioned “old cashcard as backup”, do you mean the chip-based verison or the contactless one?

i keep the old school chip based one for those super old car parks just in case.
but just be wary of the cardcard expiry date ( i think expires after 5 yrs )

Other than Amex, there are Maybank cards. Maybank Visa platinum for $30/$100 quarterly rebate for $300/$1000 spend each of 3 months of the quarter. Maybank Barcelona 1.6%, no cap no min spend. If can pay online (other than AXS) there is Friz debit card for 1.75%. There is also CRO visa cards if dun mind staking into crypto.

Thanks for your reply. Looks like shall stick to UOB Absolute card at 1.7%. Lucky the uni I am paying accept AMEX.

I just very recently discovered GrabPay mastercard... is there a sticky on some common ways people optimize use of this card?

Different ppl different need. Basically use this card if it gives better rewards/cashback compared to other cards for your spending.

Power Up promo 15th of every month
Paying at hawker centres (not GPMC but rather grabpay QR)
Paying commonly excluded categories (insurance, education, AXS, etc) - maybe no Grab points but you still got the cashback from topping up.
Paying with PayNow to organisations that accept (big one last year was CPF)

How to PayNow with grab to CPF ? Go to CPF building personally ?
