Capitastar points is better as it rewards in terms of points, not cash value .....

The "normal rate" is 5000 Capstar points = $5 voucher, but if you are Passion Card holder and registered with Capitastar as such, you can use 4500 pts to redeem $5 worth of e-voucher (max of 2 per month) ....

So for the Grab current sale, 2125 Grab pts = 5000 Capstar pts is already 15% off the "regular rate" of 2500 Grab == $5 .... and if are Passion member, 4500 Capstar pts to get $5 e-voucher, that's another 10% off the non-member rate ...... that is why I always for for Capstar pts .....

Whatever balance, just continue using at places that only accept SG-QR or Grab-QR, you can probably earn enough for another 5000 Capstar pts within a few months .....

or top-up Fraser FrX gift card using Grabpay when they have promo .... current promo is top-up $150 to FrX gift card, gets $160 in value ....

If u have capita e-voucher and capitastar points, they will deduct from the voucher before going to the points. Not sure if this is ur question.

After you redeem capitastar voucher in Grab app, you have to transfer the voucher to Capitastar App and spend it with Capitastar App!

Not all shops accept payment in Star$ in "loose points", many only accept min $5 evouchers or in multiples of $5. It is a smart app, it will always use up evouchers which are going to expire first.

It will also use evouchers which are expiring before the Star$ points first, ie based on expiry date. So my points still remain in the app unused. If the shop accept payments in Star$ in "loose points", it will deduct the points from the evouchers based on expiry date.

For eg, I won a $50 evoucher and it is expiring first, I spent some, now the balance is $46.91. My loose points are expiring after this evoucher, it stays so I can continue to accumulate and when enough, I can redeem voucher at 4500 pts.

oh this could be the reason, my ecapitavoucher are expiring first so they deduct that first.. no wonder the star$ remain the same.. thank you!

Goodbye to Grab. No point topping up your Grab Wallet. Unless you are so keen to earn Grab Points.

Yah. Defer cash flow definitely better.

I don't like to carry coins around so it helps. Especially when I use CDC vr and use Grabpay for the small balance.

Plus I don't like to login to bank apps to scan to pay. So quite happy to scan using Grab.

There’s also the benefit of “interest” on the deferred cash flow a lot ppl seem to miss out just because no card rebates/miles
