Hm can triple dip using credit card+grab+favepay mah. No need to stop grab unless can get better rebate using credit card+favepay.

I do not want to leave any money in my GrabPay wallet since I seldom use GrabPay now. The money in GrabPay wallet is unable to transfer to any Bank at the moment unlike DBS PayLah.

FavePay can debit the amount directly from debit/credit card.

The Grab reward points have never been much of a draw, even before the devaluation. But I still top up my GrabPay wallet using the select few miles earning cards and pay for transactions that don’t earn me as many credit card reward points, if at all, if I were to pay with a regular credit card, for example, insurance premiums or SimplyGo. I’m in a way earning 4 miles per dollar for these transactions.

I found that grabpay was quite worth it at the start. It was a nice complement to my POSB Everyday card, which gave pretty good rebates on food and transport expenses, but a measly 0.3% on everything else. The grab card was great for an effective 3% cash back on purchases that didn’t benefit as much from my main credit card (0.3% top up, 2.7% rebate). I know I redeemed quite a number of $10 grab vouchers that way in December.

I probably may have mentioned this before, but shopping at Causeway Point, there was a neat way of using grabpay to purchase Fraser gift vouchers to pay for the purchase of gold jewellery from outlets like money max which don’t accept credit cards.

Now, points accrue so slowly I feel it’s barely worth my effort to top up my wallet. I guess it was simply too good to be true, and it was only a matter of time before banks stepped in.

Is it safe to top up on 13th? So it can be reflected by 15th latest before the cutoff 16th

yes u should top up on 13th morning so that it can be posted within the same day.

14th and 15th are weekends... there's a risk it may not be posted if it's transacted too late on 13th (like afternoon or night).

My statement and last quarter end date is 12 Mar... which is today. After that, is new quarter already. I'm comtemplating if i should still topup $2k tomorrow. Drawback is that if i do, i will have to somehow spend $2k in Apr and May as well. :s22::s22:

That's way too many NTUC vouchers.

F*** it, i'll just top up $2k tomorrow, and spend $500/mth for the next 2 mths. No 10%, 8.33% also good.

Can also spend $500 in 2nd and 3rd month also. Effective rebate including additional 5% from grab ($100+ $50)/$3000 = 5%. Just slightly lower than spending $2000 in all 3 months ($100+$300)/$6000 = 6.667%.

The difference is smaller if you mix in some grab ride/food that will still get additional 5%

Oh wait, if i spend $2,000 + $500 + $500, the rebate is only 5%? :( Thanks for doing the math for me. In that case, not worth already...5%, i also can get easily on my Live Fresh....and UOB ONE still need to wait 3 mths before can get back the rebate...

Maybe will be worth it for people who have significant Grab transactions. Not me haha...
