I use to be able to use Grab paynow to topup shoppeepay. Just tried and hit error " This paynow QR code" is not supported by Grab".

Anyone encountered the same ?
Yes I encountered the same.
In the end I use AMEX TCB to top up. Have $1 admin fee but still gain 50 cents (from 1.5% cashback) when topping up $100. If do direct paynow bank transfer, 0 benefit.

In the past I use Amex Absolute card to top up every $10 in Shoppe with 1.7% rebate. Now bo hua to use credit card to top up with $1 admin charge. So i use paynow. Also the shopee $0.50 discounts disappear for 3 days already. You top up one shot $100 in shoppee account to buy what? ha

Hmm, so I guess Spree’s 2% is next best for me?
Hi if your spending is so low each month like me it is best you go for those no minimum spend still got rebate kind.

Citibank Cashback+
SC Unlimited
Maybank FC Barcelona
Amex TCB
ICBC Zodiac
etc

SC Spree for me is becuz my most spending is online and for this card it is 2% higher than the above cards. But since it is Visa a lot exclusion like Govt services and recurring payment mode and topup wallet etc all cannot enjoy so best to have this card plus one of the Amex (so far no exclusion yet)

Hi all notice use credit card topup this GPMC cannot specify cents so always got extra cents inside the wallet. Since use credit card topup this cents cannot transfer out. Anyone think of how to "use" those cents away? What if Grab close shop then my few cents inside cannot come out how?

So the rebate we get from Amex topup must minus off these cents which mean we actually get lesser than 1.7% unless we keep spending to use up those cents. Quite a smart business model.

I cheapo one. Can earn 50 cents better than nothing.
Normally buy detergent, toilet paper on Shopee when have promo. Some places scan QR don't have Grab but have Shopee. $100 about 1 to 2 months can finish spending.

Top up telco bill using GPMC and put to the exact cent.

Can I know this is how to be done? When you use credit card topup GPMC cannot specify cents correct? Or do you mean at the telco bill you pay to the cents? If that is the case all along for telco bill I pay to the exact cents why need to give extra rollover to next month?

How I plan to do it when I want to give up on GPMC is as follows:

Current balance in Grab Wallet: $8.29
Go to telco website since you want to pay your $30 telco bill. First transaction: Pay $8.29 using GPMC.
Second transaction: Pay the remaining $21.71 using other cards.

No need to overpay the telco if you are not comfortable and no need to stress about the cents in these prepaid cards.

Ooh I get what you mean. My Grab wallet will never exceed $1 since I only topup when I want to pay. Using your strategy will still work. First transaction $0.29 cents using GPMC then the rest use other cards for second transaction. But the other card may not have the rebate as good as I use to topup Grab wallet and also not sure if the telco can accept multiple txn for one single month payment I will test out next month. hmmm

Thanks for sharing.

SC unlimited can be used for small ticket items but good for big ticket items as no limits on the 1.5% rebates. SC Spree 2% rebates good if use contactless payments but has $30 rebate limit per billing cycle.

Telco (tried with Starhub) and SP app accepts multiple partial payments. But I have encountered Grab give error if it is like more than 4 times for the same organisation at close intervals.

Thanks for listing the no min spend cards. I think I’ll go with Spree as well.
