Grade this Budget Build!

Hi all! Im looking to build a simple gaming pc.
Right now, i'm looking at this

Mobo: Asus h87m-pro
CPU: Intel i5-4570
Case: Antec three hundred two
PSU: Seasonic m12ii 520
GPU: Radeon 7870 xt
RAM: 2x4 g.skillz ripjaws 1600
OS: Windows 8 oem 64bit
HDD: WD Blue 7200 1TB

Here's a brief explanation on the choices.

I will not be running SLI or Crossfire anytime soon, but I do not want to sacrifice too many features. hence, I took a cheaper H87 asus board. I understand that some Z87 will present better features then this one, and would like to know which ones so that i can compare them. I will not be overclocking my cpu, only the GPU gets overclocked.

I chose to go with a Seasonic 520 to support single graphic card and non-overclock cpu. Stock cooler will be used with the CPU.

Any other tweaks y'all can suggest? just a simple and functional build.

My concerns are that the board will limit the cpu or the gpu. will it?

The board wont limit the CPU nor GPU, instead, it is still not the cheapest and the best choice. getting a B85/H81 would be the cheapest and the best choice for a simple gaming rig. Reason being is that B85/H81 compared to H87 difference are only the Raid functions and the number of Sata ports. Do note down your budget here so that we can give you a rough parts to get, but judging on your current choice, I guess the below parts would be a better alternatives.

Very true. I will not consider a gpu change as I will only be doing 1080p gaming. However, no one seems to address the problem of pcie 2.0 on the 85 and the 81. Will it limit gpu performance?

I will input a ssd. I have a Samsung Evo 120 already.

For psu, I won't be saving, and pay a bit more for a better brand.

I guess I'm really just asking which motherboard I need. If pcie 2.0 won't hold back the gpu I might go for h81 build.

Actually even gpu today cannot fully utilize the new pci 3.0 potential yet, but in the future it might, so for now its ok to just stick to the pci 2.0 as there is not much performance improvement as seen from the graph post by the other guy
