Graphic card crashing

Hello everyone, I currently am using a ASUS GTX 970 STRIX with the latest drivers. This problem only happened recently. My graphic card is connected to my PC monitor and my HDTV. I usually duplicate the screens to watch shows etc.

Recently, everyone once in awhile my both screens will suddenly turn black. After a few seconds, my HDTV display will re-appear at my desktop (no matter what program i was using as though it restarted) while my PC monitor remains blank. I tried to duplicate back the screens but it will say "Your PC can't project to another screen. Try reinstalling the drivers or using a different video card". Then i have no choice but to restart my computer.

I also use open hardware monitor to track the temps and status of my graphics card but once my screen goes black, my open hardware monitor can't detect my Graphics Card at all.

If however i am using just one single screen (PC Monitor). This issue also happens and once the screen turns black i can't do anything. My computer still remains turned on and there isn't any error sounds etc.

I wonder if anyone has ever faced this problem and any kind souls has any solutions to offer me? I have cleared and sweeped my drivers and reinstalled but i dont know what else to do right now.

but have u tried to unplug everything and just connect a cable to your gpu?

if not can u try to use your onboard gpu to test if the same issues still happening?

onboard gpu isnt a problem because when the screen blacks out, my tv will go back to the desktop as though the computer just restarted. but my main monitor still remains black.

i have also tried to stop the tv duplicate but sometimes it still happens. my screen just goes black suddenly and computer remains running and i got to restart it to solve the issue.

Which port are u connecting for your TV and monitor? Can u try swapping the cable yo test?

TV is connected via HDMI. Monitor is connected via the DVI/VGA port. I don't think swapping would help because i have this computer for roughly 5 months now and the issue only arised this month.

Well this is just my speculation, I'm thinking might be either your GPU display port is DMG or your cable might the causes of it. But what about your monitor? Bought during the same time as your PC?

hmm at first i was thinking it could be driver issue because i posted on the nvidia forums and other people are also encountering this issue. yes i bought my monitor same time as my PC. only recently this month then this issue started arising
