Graphic card overheating?

Only experienced this after I went dual monitors.

is this an issue resolvable by reapplying thermal paste, or do I have to get a new gfx card?

I havent touched the thermal paste since I got it about 2-3 years ago.

I in aircon room, so I opened my case to see if the temp will go down...

instead temp went up.

Most likely is heatsink/fan clogged with dust, and/or thermal paste harden alr. Simple hosing down of the heatsink, cleaning of the fan blades and applying new thermal paste should "fix" it.

Damn noisy, but I eventually got used to it.

I found a replacement already, probably going to send this to ban leong since its under wty till jan 2014.. then come back keep as spare card

Numbers tell the story...look at your fan RPM...89% but only 930rpm...your fan has reached end of life span. Most probably change your fan will solve the issue.

FYI . My fan speed at 44% is 1260rpm
