Ram should work. Some weird ppl got 1x1gb, 1x2gb and 1x4gb to get 7gb one.

Likely the 2x4 will run in dual channel while the 3rd stick runs in single mode.

i am using 3 stick of ram (2x2 GB + 1x4GB) for about 2 months due to one stick of my 4gb in RMA, this is the config you are planning to go. works fine. just make sure the 2x2gb are slotted into same color slots to make them run in dual channel, and the single 4gb will run in single channel. not much real world difference between dual and single channel anyway

Hey guys, another quick question. So I have been looking around the prices of graphic cards. I saw ASUS R9 290 4GB DDR5 at $525 then I saw that the variations of 280x is around 450 - 500 also. Would you recommend me get a 290 or 280x?

290 that is definetely a reference card. Runs hot and noisy if you dont mind you can get it.

in my own opinion, i will hold off buying a new amd gfx now (not commenting for nvidia)
reason being i feel that this new r9 series are just repackaged 7 series gfx
though i am still using a 5870, it is still generally good enough for my d3

ill go buy a 1x4gb ram to add on to my 2x2gb ram.
because i have no need for 2x4gb and 2x2gb.

I used to own a Corsair PSU before the current Seasonic one. Firstly, the Corsair PSU was damn noisy. Secondly, it died exactly after 1 year of usage and it took me 1 month to get a new one back. (I argued very hard to get the damn thing RMA)

In the end, I put the new PSU in cold storage and bought a Seasonic instead. It has been going strong for 3 years now. Good stuff.
