Hi All,

It has been a long time since I check here for computer updates. Recently, I discovered that my graphics card's heat sink is beginning to rust and I think, maybe, it is time to upgrade that card.

Thus, what nVidia graphics card can my rig support at the moment? The budget - I am not sure as I haven't check on the latest price range yet. Thanks in advance.

So I do not need to upgrade the PSU? Enough power?

If you are looking only at Nvidia, 750 Ti is your best bet if you want value for money graphics performance. Don't need any PSU upgrade too, 620W is plenty.

Since he has a 620W PSU, I was thinking he should get the chance and aim higher than a 750Ti. Any reason why you're sticking to Nvidia? I recently switched from a GTX 560 to a R9 290.

Switching to something better than 750Ti is more futureproofing I guess in case he wants to switch to 1440p gaming.

All the nVidias above 750Ti are grossly overpriced.

If looking at something above that, an AMD 270/270X might be good.

Why don't consider radeon cards? I find them cheaper on a same performance basis.

Side note: I'm using a 620w psu powering my R9 290 and i2500k (both overclocked so require more power than normal), with 1 SSD and 2 HDD. So power wise u don't need any upgrades.

I used to have Radeon cards but I switched to nVida after some unpleasant warranty/performance issues with Radeon cards in the past. Don't know whether it is my luck or what but Radeon cards always break down for me after one year of usage in the past. Thus, I switched to nVidia ever since. :)

I just found that my graphics card wouldn't support Battlefield: Hardline. Maybe it is time to change to the 700-plus series soon.

you are not alone here, got an amd card and started to be faulty in less than 6 months of the date that i bought. the problem will appear out of nowhere and sometimes will not appear. after a year of use then i go and rma. because the problem does not show up from time to time or it will go away after a restart

really leave a bad taste in my mouth:(

if after RMA still faulty. i will throw inside the bin and go green
