Graphics card upgrade enquiry

Based on my current PC setup, which nVidia graphics card can I get to replace the current one?

I am looking at MSI for now.

Budget-wise will be around $100-plus. But the most important thing is whether my current setup can support the new card or not? I am not thinking of changing anything other than the graphics card at the moment.

The GeForce 600-series is still expensive??

$100+ is quite difficult. And i think most probably your current card is still better than those $100+ cards.

GT630-640 is one of the few cards that is around that range. Totally not worth paying for.

but what games you are play? 600-series prices had dropped but still its never $100 unless you are saying the lower end cards like 640 and similar

7750 or a gtx650 is a sub $120-$150 range depending on brands.

GT630-640 is one of the few cards that is around that range. Totally not worth paying for.

When I took out all the parts for cleaning during the spring cleaning this year, I found that the heatsink on the graphics card was getting rusty. I do not know whether it will affect the performance or not. Even the processor heatsink is also showing signs of rust. Just concerned about the PC health.

I see. That means I need to hold back for a while and observe the price for now.

if thats the case i rather you just hold your gpu for now and wait until it really dies first. honestly $100 really nothing much to offer for Nvidia other than 640, still can run battlefield 4 at a decent frame rate at mid settings

Its fine so long that it does not heat up and shut off or something.

What you could do is just hold on first. Save up some money and sell away the card. Get a $200 sub card or better. Hope it helps.

Budget too low. With that budget, anything you get is not a significant upgrade from your current GPU.

Maybe budget $200-250.

U can consider get 2nd hand gfx thou

A decent upgrade will be gtx750ti

Low power, decent performance for the price

Zotac gtx750 ti ~ $205
