Currently holding on to a 750GTX.

Looking for an upgrade but do not have much to spare. ( I thought graphics card prices should have dropped by now ).

dont really get what you mean..

new release is always at around the same price. those value-for-money has always been around 300-400$..as long as they keep releasing new products the price will always be around the same

... Was thinking of upgrading to the 106x at minimum and I thought prices would have dropped since the 2xxx series is out zzzz.

So what would you all recommend ?? Not willing to spend more than 150.00

You can consider a used GTX 1060 6GB at around $150.

How used is used ??

How about 1030? Any good??

You have to check out vrzone, IT Garage, Carousell etc to see what is available and the condition of the cards.

Alternatively, I think PC Themes still has a few pieces of RX580 or RX570 at $16X.

Pick up a used GTX1060 for around $150. Brands like Zotac should still have warranty cover for a few more years for peace of mind. I doubt you can get any significant performance increase at your budget for BNIB GPU purchases.

There are always used cards floating around since people are always upgrading. I'm on my 6th Pascal card (5 of which were bought new) :s13:

Some brands like Zotac have a long warranty (5 years) so do get a copy of the receipt for warranty purposes. Technically, the warranty only covers original buyer but distros would not ask if you were the original buyer.

If you are lucky, the fella might sell you a card with 1-2 year of warranty left.

If you are unlucky, the fella might sell you either a card with no warranty left (some brands have notoriously short warranty) or a card with warranty that is valid only overseas.

Keep your eye wide open.

Someone from the Hoot thread shared that RX580 were going at $180 brand new. You can go check if they are available.

Gt 1030 performance is close to the gtx 750ti and is better then the gtx 750. You change to gt 1030 you will not feel any difference one. You want brand new gpu to upgrade from your gtx 750 with budget of $150. Can only think of rx 570, rx 580, gtx 1060 3gb, gtx 1060 6gb. Check all qoo10, carousell, lazada, shopee for any.

Last time got asus promotion to clear the rx 570 rx 580 cards. RX 570 selling for only $139, rx 580 selling for only $179 around there cannot remember. Out of stock very fast people fast hand fast leg snap up very fast. Can only find in SLS somemore. Some retailer never list on online website very weird.

Now no more already. If you lucky maybe can find the powercolor rx 570 from pc themes for $165. But mostly sold out very fast one. GTX 1060 3gb or 6gb if lucky can find brand new at $179 around there but very hard to find now also. Stock almost gone already. Can only find those expensive 1660 cards only. I manage to buy one gtx 1060 3gb palit one from pc themes at $140 brand new from lazada 9/9 sale with bank voucher + lazada voucher really good deal. Very happy with the card. Huge upgrade from my gt 1030. Gaming has never felt so smooth for me ever since the upgrade. :D

All this are for brand new cards. For second hand one can find for around $150 more or less, but you have to look out and check how old is the card and got warranty or not.

Last tips. If you want can drop your settings to 720p low, medium or high. Games should still be playable at that settings with the gtx 750.

I thought that's the rx 570 @ $169? The screenshot is showing powercolor rx 570.
But if rx 580 at $180 is available it's a steal.
