considering 750ti/950/960
my monitor now only supports 1680x1050 and i can only foresee myself going to 1080p if i were to upgrade in the near future, not 1440p so maybe a 970 would be overkill.

main uses really just dota2 best settings maybe some other newer games but im perfectly fine with playing them on like medium/low settings.

other specs
ASRock H81M-HDS /i5-4460
8gb ram
SF Leadex 90+ 550w Silver
CM N200

For reference the prices im looking at from Lazada

Palit Geforce GTX750 Ti StormX Dual 2GB GDDR5- $157.25

ZOTAC Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5- $170.05

Palit GeForce GTX 950 StormX Dual 2GB GDDR5 - $232.75

Palit GeForce GTX 960 JetStream 2GB DDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card - $279.30

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 Twin Fan 2GB GDDR5 OC- $284.05

Some questions I have:

1)
First timer qn: if i build the whole pc and a part spoils (say gfx), how do i go about requesting for repair/exchange. Do i have to remove the specific part from my pc? or can i just bring down my whole pc? (both if i were to purchase parts from PCThemes or Lazada)

2)
3 Years Local Manufacturer Warranty vs 5 Years Local Supplier Warranty (Palit vs Zotac)
Palit 3 years means full 3 years by convergent locally, while zotac is 2+3 means 2 years tech dynamic locally and the next 3 years i have to send to zotac directly overseas? (or will tech dynamic still handle my card if i registered)

3)
Are all the cards compatible with the intended system? (Mobo and casing)

4)
Which will be the one that bottlenecks my system apart from my monitor. My CPU i5 4460 or a 950/960

5)
In the case of microsoft software swap, do I save a recovery copy of W7 (which I'm purchasing) or W10 (which I'm immediately upgrading to)

Yeah get the 950. I have a asus 750ti able to max settings in dota but will experience some delays in td games. Esp spin td. Sadly when i buy the time 950 not out. If not top up 30 or so can get cheapest 950.

IIRC I don't think Palit beyond 1st year will 1-1

Buy a Zotac 240GB SSD instead. MLC will last you longer and no funny problems.

thats the old type right? will the vnand give problems? cos most just flat out recommends the evo 850 to anyone who has a build.

also will the 950 function well with just 1 fan cos lazada also has a single fan variant from zotac with the palit one sold out. I could opt for that but im afraid the card will get too hot with only 1 fan supporting it

850 EVO also prone to TLC problems.

I have a distrust in the 850 evo because i tried it once and it went sotplug after a few months.

Yea, 950 will run cool. Zotac is a very good bet. Runs at 70C without much airflow. It will be ok with decent airflow.

You only need just enough ventilation, any more is a waste. not necessary to have any more.

will consider thanks.

also is powercolour r9 285/2gb or powercolour r9 280 3gb good?
285 performance like comparable to gtx 960 for 1080p, or 280 more vram better? but i only use up to 1080p so probably not 280.

price after lazada discount for 960 vs PCT listed price also quite similar if bargain abit maybe can same.

then like that team green 960 or team red 285 purely from 1080p performance standpoint?

Zotac GTX 960 is worth it for the warranty alone. It still depends on ur own choice though since the R9 series is at a gd price point too.
