i have a ILP which gives 5% bonus units after 10 years. recently i noticed GE funds have a bid and ask spread of about 5%! so basically im paying 5% since day 1! no bonus at all.

if we buy funds via fundsupermart, we can save both sales charges and bid/ask spread.

does anyone face the same issue?

GE's main shareholder is OCBC. Any profits that GE makes benefits OCBC.

As an OCBC shareholder, I wish to thank you for not noticing for 10 years that you had to pay 5% charge on your ILP funds. That 5% helped to boost OCBC's share price and gave me a steady stream of dividends.

I guess you will move to FSM next, and I'll leave it to iFast shareholders to thank you for not noticing that you have to pay platform fee.
