Monster (2003)
Monster (2003) - IMDb
Based on the life of Aileen Wuornos, a Daytona Beach prostitute who became a serial killer.
I can't believe it's almost 10 years since "Monster" was released. I still remember it like it was yesterday. The performance of Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci that blew everyone away.
This is not just a film about a serial killer. It's about the process, her needs and her rationale behind her decision to be a serial killer. The emotional ride "Monster" brings you is an incredible but you'll stare at the credit in the end, soak up the feelings and decide what is your view on Aileen Wuornos.
I find this movie so so only... Dunno Wat's the hype
Big Fish (2003)
Big Fish (2003) - IMDb
The story revolves around a dying father and his son, who is trying to learn more about his dad by piecing together the stories he has gathered over the years. The son winds up re-creating his father's elusive life in a series of legends and myths inspired by the few facts he knows. Through these tales, the son begins to understand his father's great feats and his great failings
- Very good touching movie.
The ending scene is a tear jerker!
Quotes from movie
Senior Ed Bloom: There's a time when a man needs to fight, and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny is lost... the ship has sailed and only a fool would continue. Truth is... I've always been a fool.
[When meeting young Sandra Templeton for the first time]
Young Ed Bloom: You don't know me but my name is Edward Bloom and I love you.
Highly recommended.

The Grandmaster should be on this list in future
stunningly beautiful, well shot, with lots of wong kar wai's trademark. Zhang Ziyi display was so intense... The fight scenes are very beautiful, thoroughly changing the whole martial arts genre.
