Actually i did spot some different between my old one and the new one. Like the ring on top of the knob is smaller. just threw it away tho. no photos comparison. performance wise i think the other bros have answered. lol i hope it's different for my case. :s22:

Those who bought the Creative T3 or change the knobs recently in 2015, how are the new volume knobs performing? Still as bad as the old one?

That's why I sold off my T3 and have never wanted to buy
back it cuz of the lousy remote.
It's ridiculous and guys please don't spend such money
especially since it is quality issue problem.
Whether new or old, I feel the knob will breakdown.

Once I did tear up the volume knob to take a look
inside to why it keep failing.
When I work with my dad whom is a electrical expert,
he noticed that the soldering inside are very poorly done.

My previous speakers like Creative Inspire 2500, Creative Inspire L3500
and many more do have volume problem knob issues.
In the past yearly I will change to a Creative speaker
knowing that once a year up the product can never last.

Constant turning on the knob will make it wear and tear.
To make matter worse, the workmanship is not top notch
so it may breakdown eventually after some time.

Seriously Creative should step up their quality control, improve the T3
design and put it as optional parts where people can just buy.

My T3 just suddenly no sound at all.
The blue led on volume knot still can be seen.
Not sure it's volume knot or the system itself spoiled.
Anyone still using the T3 now and can help me to test my volume knot ?
Thanks in advanced

Wear and tear of the volume knob, really poor product QC.
If you live near Jurong than can bring it Creative have it test.
Volume knob if I remember correct cost about
$30 or so.

Volume knob so easy spoilt? Terrible quality from Creative. Do they even bother to find out what's wrong with the frequent failure.
My Logitech Z523 and Altech Lansing volume knob after 10 years also working well.

My T3 volume knob still working after so many years.

Probably because i only set the knob once and leave it untouched. The actual settings is done on my pc.

Only issue is the sticky rubber overtime. Sian
