Excuse my newbieness but i came here cuz I'm just curious if i should go back to Aftershock to bang table =/
Recently bought a Prime 15 from Aftershock a month back.... till yesterday it was working fine, handling everything i threw at it well, the most demanding being playing for abt an hour or two everyday on Witcher 3 ultra settings at 40+FPS. For the sake of showing a clearer pic, my GPU peaks at 84degs, 99-100% usage, 40-45FPS in game on ultra. I play using a dualshock controller paired with DS4windows running.
Until yesterday night when I installed some windows updates(stupid me), and played Witcher 3 on ultra again, my GPU temp dropped to 80 degs and FPS dropped massively to 20-26 as if my 1060 were being bottlenecked. Which shouldnt even be possible since its a 1060 but now its behaving like a lower 1050.
Switching to high settings brought the framerates back up to normal(?) at 60ish FPS so i'm very confused.
Any suggestions on how i can remedy it on my own? Or has my GPU crashed(LOL) and i should go bang table
