gtx 275 good enough???

Hi, I have been using gtx 275 for slightly over 4 years and it have been serving my 1080p gaming purpose very well. Would it be wise if I were to change graphics card to nvidia maxwell next year???

Whats the spec of your other components? no point changing graphics card if your CPU is going to bottleneck.

Dont change unless its giving you problems or its no longer giving u a satisfying experience for gaming....

the reason I am thinking of changing is cause I may wana increase my screen resolution to 1440p which my card will not be able to perform that well

Looks like you need at least a 3GB card.

1440p then you will need an at least 3gb vram.

One of my nephew is playing company of heroes on my brother's old HD4870. One day i hand itchy swapped with GTX 660. I asked him got difference or not. He said not much.

Conclusion, if your card is enough for the current game you're playing, then there's no point changing. Unless one day u decide to play latest game that requires more high end card, then you change lor. After all graphics card price only head south, the later you buy, the higher end you can get for the same price.

2nd this... If you are the kind that dont look for max settings and are ok with mid-high settings, and if the games u play dont cause any problems, then either dont change or if u wanna change, change everything to be honest... As most bros here say CPU might be another bottleneck, running at PCI-E 2 instead of 3, SATA bottleneck for SSD, etc etc...

Agree with most people here. If you think you're not happy with the performance already then upgrade. Otherwise I don't see why the need to.

Thats why since 2009 I did not change graphics card. I only changed when I decided to get 1920x1200 back in 2008. I will only change card based on my screen resolution.

Use 1440p for gaming? Or for general browsing office work? If not for gaming the gtx 275 will perform just fine.

1440p for gaming though. If its for browsing though I think nexus 10 does a good job.
