my PSU has two 6+2 pin PCIE connectors...this gives flexibility since some GPUs require 6+8 while others may need only 6+6 or some other combination.

My PSU default One motherboard the long power then 2x4pin to the 4pin on mother board. And one lame ass 8 pin that doesnt fit with the 8 pin on the graphics card.. Have to use the adapter and attach the MOLEX i think. To power and then add another 4 pin. Cause my card is 1x6pin and 1 x4 pin...

I'm wondering if default unattachable got 8 pin cannot be it's useless right? :s11:

Woah, dude, dun try to connect the long 8-pin to the GPU! Unless u wanna fry your GPU! The long 8-pin is meant for the CPU, esp for pple with super overclockable mobos that require more than the standard 24pin and 4+4pin atx connectors.

The GPU ones are the 6-pin connectors on the PSU side. The modular ones, where u can rip off the entire cable from the PSU. Not the one that is 'perma attached' to the PSU. Check your GPU packaging, they shld have. If not, check the Seasonic modular cable bag (black colour one that contains all the modular cables).

This make me very scared of my guts and instinct... I almost sand off the side to accomodate the long 8 pin into my gpu........... :D

Lucky i use the attachable 4 pin and the adapter.. LOL Or not i got a very nice $409 gigabyte windforce ornament

Sorry all. The giga is 6pin plus 8 pin not 4 pin and 8 pin.. I remember wrongly. LOL.

Yeah, your guts almost got u one trip down to CDL...anyway coz i think the 8-pin ATX is 12V rated. So try supplying 12V to your GPU, sooner or later ur GPU will fry when u overclock or prolonged usage.

Ur PSU (If it is Seasonic M12II) shld come with modular cables for GPU ba. 6pin to 6pin and 6pin to 6+2pin. The 6+2pin is easily recognisable coz it sticks out like as though your cable just broke into half with a 'fraying' 2pin dangling out. Use that instead of converting from the 4pin molex. That shld supply u enough power. If in doubt, consult PSU manual for instructions (which i doubt u did).
