G1 around 600-630
MSI Gaming around 550-580
Zotac Twin Fan from 460-500?

Can consider MSI Armor also, around 500.

G1 Gaming not worthed to get, just clocked higher. I think exactly same as windforce otherwise.

MSI Gaming and ASUS Strix the fans will stop spinning unless under sizeable load, so maybe a worthy feature if you like it.

Otherwise you may want to consider the Palit and Zotac iterations.

Msi gtx970 4gb armor below $480 can get.

It spots the same pcb and components as gaming edition.

But the cooler used is a step down version of the gaming edition.

The temps differ from gaming to armor is 10deg.

The cooler.

Vs major brand cooler. On major brands the cooler performs at just a mere 6Xdeg. While the lesser known brands would probably breached 7xdeg both running on the same fan speed.

Quieter, and definitely lesser dust collate.

Msi and Asus fans stops at below 60deg. Even on idle your chassis fan is more than enough to cool the card down. Not unless you gaming then it will start to spin.

Affirming the above claim cos I have 2x Zotac GTX970.

Under 1440p maximum settings gaming conditions my bottom card can be around 67-72deg while the upper card 75-81deg

Is it true zotac has coil whining ?

Sent from hp using GAGT

TBH I can't advice you on that. I have high tolerance to noise. My room have 2 large standing fan blasting at full power and my casing rig have 3 120mm fans that are capable of blasting at 2200ish RPM under load :s13:

So I can't really differentiate fan noise much :s22:

Think some of the Palit/EVGA variants also have 0db tech?

dBi – dB Noise Inverter turns fans off below 60C, generating 0dB of noise during idle!

http://www.evga.com/articles/00892/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-970-SSC/

The card is based on a dual-slot dual fan cooling solution and has 0dB Fan Technology. You can play in complete silence because the fan stops completely when the GPU temperature remains below a set level, that is 60 Degrees C, after that the fans will kick in.

the msi gtx 970 its pretty silent imo it starts to turn on the fan if it hits above 60def

or you could always use the afterburner to change the fan configuration to turn on which ever temp u want

and its only $sgd440 sold from newegg singapore

wah..i would go crazy if its that loud! why dont you do liquid cooling for your whole rig? it seems more appropriate cause your setup its sick:s22:

Thing is when I am not in game, my Creative speakers out volume the fans, or when I am in game or watching animes I am on my headset which isolates the "outside world". My standing fans are louder than the rig itself so the rig isn't that bad actually.

I haven't really considered WC for my rig yet cos the Phantom 530 case isn't that big actually. My CPU is on a tower radiator with 2x 2200RPM fan blasting the heat away (and the fan is pointing directly on same level as the back exhaust running at 1000RPM), so it runs at 5X-6X deg during games which I am satisfied with.

WC for the GPU would be more of a problem due to space limitation even though the GTX970 isn't a full width card. :(

Okay, maybe the Aquacomputer waterblocks but jin sexpensive sia.

P.S. Eh isn't your rig specs same as mine LOL :s22:
