Is the height thing true? Cause the only person I know in APD is from my FI’s previous intake and he’s below average height

im from 173 and i just got posted to APD, height isn't an issue when you want to go APD, it only matters when they are picking you for certain weapon training when you're already in APD

Oh ok nice just wondering what the job scope is like for APD is most of the time spent just patrolling?

So this depends where your vocation is. After POP you are still an SC. If you get a frontline vocation, you will eventually ord as a sgt whereas if you get a non frontline vocation youd be stuck at cpl for a long time(but with a chance of getting sgt)

For frontline voc eg Transcom officer u will get promoted to SC2 immediately after ur POP. After that u will be promoted to SC/CPL (mostly more than 6 mths after posting to the unit). Then get promoted as Sgt(1) abt 3 mths later. U will get Sgt(2) if u are selected as GL after Sgt(1).

My bro A lvl now with Transcom. He 171th batch getting his Cpl rank soon..

Begining stage there may be something like that but permanent one is 4 days duty & 2 days off regardless of weekend & PH!

He enlisted in last Feb but still "rankless". That means for Transcom u will need abt 12 mths then u be able to see something on the shoulder haha..

Unlikely you will ever be able to, unless you post out and come back for IPPT, or shooting. As long as you hold the T-Pass, you should not be allowed to bring in a camera phone.

with regards to this, i believe 174 is the first intake to be allowed to bring in camera phones, i don’t know why either but i’m just gonna appreciate my luck hahaha

173 was also allowed to bring in camera phones midway through POBC

tbh I'm not so sure myself, rn I'm going thru the 1 month training in APD, after that you'll start doing your shift duties, 2 working days 2 offs.
