Hi everyone, I'm thinking of creating a Facebook group to gather Guitar players (Acoustic, classical, electric) and Beginners who think they might want to start to learn guitar.

So the requirement for the guitar players to teach such beginners is to provide a lesson and lend the beginners their own guitar for learning (like a trial/try-out to let the beginners see if they like guitar and want to play or not).

So I'm calling out for the public opinions on this. Also, if you're a guitar player or are interested in playing a guitar but have 0 experience and no guitar, please reply and let me know. Thank you for reading :)

i play the guitar and i agree with TS.
Before buying a guitar try to see if you can borrow one and if you can grasp the learning curve.

haha, you should see this vid. guitaring extraordinaire Rick Graham in a trolling vid. Personally, I tried learning through youtube but there's so much info out there it kinda becomes overwhelming. After months, I didn't even know where to begin. I tried Rocksmith and it's helpful but when I finally got a tutor, I did realize that the teacher experience is actually irreplaceable. Funny thing is, both of my teachers started and proceeded differently, obviously preferring their style of teaching a beginner than the other. But at least you'll know where to begin and how to proceed. Start a class, continue it for a few months, then decide whether you want to continue with the teacher or go the youtube route... at least then you'll really know what comes next and what you lack. best of luck

just pick a song u like, get the scores and start playing.

u can play either fingerpicking or strumming.

if u wanna strum, u need to learn the basic chors and the different strumming patterns

if u wanna pick the strings, i think just get the scores and start picking. every songs are diff and i cant really see and basic that you should start off with
