how do u remove the seamlines for the legs?

i did the cement's method , but the seamlines is still visible after all the sanding. I realise this problem only occur in the legs , joint and elbow...

its normal that after cement method, seamlines still visible.
just putty and sand and putty and sand till u are satisfied.
some instances, u may have 1 time settled the seamlines for some parts.
but more often than not, u need some touch up after that.

there is a reason y many pros who are very fussy, need to prime so many times, to detect any flaws. sometimes when u clear seamlines, they look as if they are not visible, but instantly shows up after u prime.

this calls for more sanding and puttying.

its normal that after cement method, seamlines still visible.
just putty and sand and putty and sand till u are satisfied.
some instances, u may have 1 time settled the seamlines for some parts.

ya lo.... zzz did my sd rx for 2 times today liao.... zzz once in the morning and 2nd round 4pm, now then got time come hwz ..... then ha every time have to use scriber to scrap the primer out of the panel lines to prevent it from dissappearing after dozens of priming.

see all the grey in contrast to the black, they are the scratches that are filled by the putty....

one big patch to fill in sioh....

P.S. does anyone knows how to prevent small dust particles from adhering onto the surface while spraying???? always got those small kinda like hair-like thingee and dots on my paints... then when dry it will crack and leave a crack there... zzz

at least for me, i cant tolerate just snapfit oob with no painting and with all the nubmarks, seamlines and clear stickers.

they are fugly .. to me.

But i read at somewhere b4 , The putty method only applies to those who are painting their kits later on if not u will be left with unsightly grey line of putty over your seam lines. Is this true? Cause i don't think i will be painting my kit due to budget , think i will only apply top coat over the kits once it is done....

Remove the front nozzle cap n clean the needle head..

yeah.. normally if you are clearing seamlines and if uuse putty, u will need to paint to cover up the puttied seamline. if you want to topcoat only, i suggest you just snapfit and topcoat. no point clearing seamline.

eh... u must be referring to lint.

actually, for me la, i dun clean the needle head. since most of us cant afford to work in a clean room, what u need to watch out for is the surrounding area must be clean. ur airbrush to be free from dust and lint, and ur paint tray also. dun let lint and dust get into ur paint while mixing, pouring into the ab cup and finally shooting out from ur noozle. i use a big brush with blower i bought from daiso. the blower function is useless, but the soft brush is sufficient. dust all the dust and lint with it from ab cup, paint tray and the part to be painted.

all these were the kind advise from Erik from HAW.

of cos, before and during painting, make sure u dust any lint and dust on the surface of parts.

and also, while u change paint colors and wiping the ab cup, use those paper towel instead of tissue/toilet paper. paper towel doesnt shred that much to leave lint behind on ur ab paint cup.

100% free from dust and lint is not possible for our case. but what we can do is minimise by practicing the above.

if i recall...the advice is usually not to cut too close to the part....after which you sand down the nub/stub....but if the mark is already there for whatever reason...the only way is probably to paint....not sure if sanding will help....
