Anyone got any tips or tricks to share to fix seamlines? Currently what i'm doing are the steps below:
1) Apply cement on the 2 parts

2) Join them together & press real hard for approx. 10+ secs.

3) Use craft knife to scrap along the seamlines after the cement dries

4) The use sandpaper to sand along the seamlines.

5) If seamline still shows, apply abit of putty on the
seamlines & wait for it to dry & sand some more.

By using the above steps, sometimes i get lucky & the seamlines disappear but sometimes it is still vaguely visible. Will the lines disappear when i paint over it if its vaguely visible?

run ur fingernail lightly over the seam line, if u can feel it, then putty and sand again.
next is to prime to check if seam line still visible

If you repeatedly doing this step and streamlines still show.. try using super glue, apply bit by bit on those visible line and let to dry for half~a day sand it down and it may cover up.. sometimes it really help..

Let the seamlines dry for 1 day, doubt use hobby knife to scrap, use sandpaper to sand off

Using knife you may " pull out " the plastic together thus causing the seamlines to be seen ,especially when its not dry enough

im not a UC person so forgive me for asking but what's the difference between both Hyaku Shiki? other than the looks, it seems to be exactly the same~

The 1st Hyaku Shiki (HS) is the normal version which features during the Zeta series and the 2nd one is the FA or Kai version that came out in games - Gundam Generation etc.

Hi! all. need advice on drawing panel lines. when should i draw the panel lines? is it after the whole figure is painted & topcoat has been sprayed or shd i draw them in straight after the paint has dried.

Paint dry, gloss coat, panel line, decals, topcoat again

sorry may I ask, right after you finish the basic layer of paint. (regardless paint brush or airbrush), straight go in 1 layer of gloss topcoat, then panel line + decal on top of it?

Also at the last step, I guess you means a layer of semi gloss top coat right? Will the last layer of top coat affect the color? (Since so many layer I scare a bit )

1. We use gloss topcoat normally for easier panel washing( enamel paints thinned down to tea like state) it allows the wash to flow more evenly n smoothly. It also helps when cleaning up the panel line. Go youtube find videos of enaamel panel line wash.

2. Yes panel line then decal .

3. Depends on what finish you want. Some like flat/ matte some like semi gloss some like glossy.

And how will clear paint affect the color??
if u see girls do nails painting same technique.

M workshop sell acrylic paints. They have tamiya and lifecolour. Paradigm Infinite sells acrylic Citadel paint. Art friend also sells acrylics. Not so sure about online shops though.

Not straight away, wait for the paints to dry, preferably 1 day, same as after gloss coat.
Easy to clean off if using panel lines markers too

Just to confirm acrylics from art friends can be used with air brushing too? Any particular brand i must look out for? Just thin it with 91% alcohol and it's good to go with air brush?
