yes, check the yen price on the box to get a gauge on how much it will cost in japan. yodobashi camera and bic camera price is 20-30% off the RRP printed on the box. so a 500yen kit is only 350yen

Exactly. Also the shipping cost. Supposing the expo selling at same price as online + shipping, i would buy on the spot if small item since will take around 2 weeks to reach me by SAL. That way can free up more luggage space for more stuff.

think better not, coz ur box will be squashed by other luggages. labeling it as fragile doesnt help much either coz they will still stack all the cargo

You can actually. Supposing you go Japan and buy your kits from BIC, they will pack in box nice nice for you. Can request they put in foam, airbags as well to prevent crushed. Otherwise, can bring your loot to nearby postal office and have them do the work for a fee.

Okay. Can double confirm only having the general 20% discount. There are no selected kits having stated dbs card further discounts. Those kits up to 40% discount are the sales items open to everyone. Verified by a few cashiers at the payment counter. At least learnt can get $60 vouchers when sign for taka dbs card at the road show nearby.

Visited the Gundam Expo and picked up 2 1/48 Mega Size kits (RX78-2 and Char's Zaku II) for $100 each. I reckon TB's price shipping would also come up to around that.

$150 spent gets you some goodies and chance in 2 lucky draws. I drew a golden ball and walked away with a MG Hi-Nu ver. Ka... Lucky~

Thanks. The prices are not the cheapest for sure. Only the Mega kits caught my eye. Last year they also had them but missing the RX78.

MG Freedom (old ver) is the cheapest MG i saw. $40.

Check the earlier toys sales post. Still have Strike Freedom MG for $59 if want a challenge at a reasonable price.

At the expo, still have the expo only Amuro colors Zeta Plus for $38.
